Domtila Chesang Lorema is a Kenyan women's rights activist, researcher, and movement builder with over a decade of experience advancing the rights of women and girls in marginalized communities. She is the Founder and Executive Director of I_Rep Foundation, a grassroots organization working to end female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage, and other forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls in Kenya.

Born and raised in West Pokot County, Domtila has dedicated her career to promoting girls' education, women's leadership, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and community-led social change. Her work combines grassroots organizing, research, advocacy, storytelling, and policy engagement to amplify the voices of women and girls and influence sustainable change.

She is also the Co-Founder and East Africa Lead of African Women Rights Advocates (AWRA), a Pan-African movement that strengthens grassroots women's leadership and advances gender justice across the continent.

Domtila's leadership and impact have earned her national and international recognition, including the Queen's Young Leader Award (2017), Pan-African Youth Leader of the Year (2018), and Kenya's Head of State Commendation (HSC) (2020). She remains committed to building a future where all women and girls can live free from violence, discrimination, and inequality, while exercising their full rights, dignity, and potential.

Programs Manager at I_Rep Foundation, leading initiatives that promote girls' education, women's empowerment, child protection and the elimination of harmful practices such as FGM and child marriage. With experience in project management, community engagement, advocacy and partnership building, he works closely with communities, government agencies and development partners to deliver impactful and sustainable programmes. Silas is passionate about advancing human rights and creating opportunities for marginalized populations. He is committed to empowering communities to drive their own development and championing solutions that improve lives, strengthen resilience and foster lasting social change.

Lucy Lorot is a dedicated Project Officer at I_Rep Foundation and a trained primary school teacher with over five years of hands-on experience in child protection, community mobilization, mentorship and gender equality programming. She is passionate about advancing the rights, safety and dignity of children, women and girls through innovative, community-driven interventions that create lasting social impact.

At I_Rep Foundation, Lucy coordinates and implements projects focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention, child protection and community empowerment. She works closely with communities, schools, government agencies and local leaders to strengthen safeguarding systems, build local capacity and promote inclusive development.

Her expertise in community mobilization, training, advocacy and stakeholder engagement has contributed to stronger community ownership and sustainable change. Guided by compassion, integrity and a deep commitment to social justice, Lucy is driven by the belief that empowered communities are the foundation of a safer, more equitable future where every child and woman has the opportunity to thrive.

A passionate women’s rights advocate with over two years of experience in community-related work, Sarah serves as an Admin Assistant/HR at I_REP Foundation. She supports administrative and human resource functions while contributing to initiatives focused on community engagement, youth empowerment, advocacy, and raising awareness on women’s and girls’ rights.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, specializing in Human Resource Management, from Mount Kenya University. Outside of her work, she enjoys photography and reading African literature, interests that continue to inspire her creativity and appreciation for culture and storytelling.

A Finance Officer. He possesses expertise in financial management, donor reporting, financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and auditing, enabling him to support sound financial practices and enhance organizational accountability. Throughout his career, Kennedy has gained experience in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting. His work has supported effective resource management and enhanced transparency across various projects and programs.

Passionate about mentorship, capacity building, and knowledge sharing, Kennedy is driven by a desire to create meaningful and sustainable impact. He believes that strong financial systems and empowered professionals are essential for achieving organizational excellence and lasting social change.

Through the preparation of reliable financial and donor reports, promotion of accountability, and support for effective financial management, Kennedy contributes to the successful implementation of programs aimed at rescuing, protecting, and empowering the girl child and other vulnerable communities.

Godson Salman is a dynamic communications professional and visual storyteller passionate about advancing gender justice and youth empowerment across Africa. As AWRA’s Communications Lead, he amplifies AWRA's mission through impactful campaigns, media engagement, and survivor-centered narratives, ensuring African women's voices resonate globally. With expertise in feminist communications, he bridges grassroots activism with policy influence, driving awareness to end FGM and gender injustice

With huge experience in gender advocacy, filmmaking, and digital media, Godson has led impactful campaigns, crafted powerful narratives, and mobilized communities around critical issues such as ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), child marriage, and gender-based violence. His work is rooted in the belief that storytelling is not just a tool, but a movement catalyst.
